Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and social media sensation Urfi Javed have one thing in common. Both the stars are often judged and trolled on social media, while one is talked about for the subject matter of his rap songs, the other is scrutinised for her fashion choices. In the latest entertainment news, the 'Angrezi Beat' singer defended Urfi Javed's right to wear whatever she wants. For the unversed, Urfi Javed had first appeared on Bigg Boss OTT, and then she started making news for her out-of-the-box fashion choices.
"Ek ladki hai, Uorfi Javed, woh bold kapde pehen ke bahar nikalti hai. Log uske baare mein bakwas karte hain. Kuch bhi pehne woh. 2023 hai yeh! Kahan jaa rahe hain hum log," Yo Yo Honey Singh told Pinkvilla in an interview.
When talking about the allegations against him for writing lewd lyrics, the rapper said: "Not at all. People were more intellectual earlier. There is difference between being an intellectual and being educated. We are combining both today, and calling educated people intellectual. People were more broad-minded earlier; they used to look at entertainment as entertainment. These days, if an actress wears a bikini, they harass her. Why can’t she wear a bikini?”
Urfi Javed had recently walked the ramp for veteran designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
She also announced that she would be collaborating with online retail brand Ajio.
Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan had also praised Urfi Javed's confidence.
"The fact that she does exactly as she wants, that’s what fashion is all about – when you are comfortable in your own skin and do exactly as you please. I just love the confidence," Kareena Kapoor said in an interview with a publication.
However, Ranbir Kapoor had said that he is not a fan of Urfi Javed's fashion choices and he also said that the clothes are in "bad taste."
