Raveena Tandon Shares Priceless Pics As She And Kajol Meet “Legends” Hema Malini, Asha Parekh To Honour Lata Mangeshkar
Kajol and Raveena Tandon met yesteryear actresses Hema Malini and Asha Parekh to remember evergreen singer Lata Mangeshkar on her first death anniversary.
Legendary Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, 2022, leaving behind a rich musical legacy. Her unforgettable charm lives on and the entertainment industry continues to remember and celebrate the evergreen singer. On her first death anniversary on Monday, a host of celebrities came together to honour the Bharat Ratna awardee. Raveena Tandon shared priceless pictures from the gathering on Instagram as she joined Kajol, Hema Malini and Asha Parekh to remember Lata Mangeshkar.
Sharing two photos of them posing for a group picture, Raveena wrote, “All about tonight! Legends in honour of Lata Mangeshkarji, Asha Parekh ji, Hema ji.”

The veteran actresses look elegant and graceful in silk sarees. Hema Malini can be seen wearing a green and pink silk saree and Asha Parekh donned a beautiful black saree.
Kajol opted for a green-coloured silk kurta, while Raveena was in an ivory saree.
Kajol, Raveena, Hema Malini and Asha Parekh, among several others had gathered in Mumbai to pay heartfelt tributes to the legendary singer. The event was especially organised in the memory of Lata Mangeshkar.
For the unversed, Lata Mangeshkar passed away at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. The 92-year-old singer had been hospitalised on January 8 after being diagnosed with pneumonia and COVID-19.
The legendary singer had been recovering, however, her condition worsened and she was put on a ventilator. Though, she showed signs of improvement, her health deteriorated again on February 5 and she passed away on February 6.
She was cremated with full state honours. Lata Mangeshkar, who was fondly known as the Nightingale of India, started singing at the age of 13 and recorded her first song in 1942.
In her career spanning seven decades, she has given us some of the most memorable songs including ‘Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai’, ‘Raam Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’ and ‘Didi Tera Devar Deewana’ to name a few.
Lata Mangeshkar was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan, third-highest civilian award in 1969, the Padma Vibhushan, second-highest civilian award in 1999 and the highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna in 2001.
Truly, the impact Lata Mangeshkar left on the world of music can never be forgotten or replaced.
