Yash Raj Films is keeping the big Bollywood updates coming! Over the course of this week, big Bollywood news have come to the forefront. At first, it was announced that 'Brahmastra' director Ayan Mukerji will direct 'War 2' starring Hrithik Roshan and then it was announced that the new Hindi Bollywood movie would also have Jr NTR. As soon as this latest Bollywood news was made public, fans started trending 'Tiger vs Pathaan' on Twitter, and they have been asking for more updates on the Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan-starrer.
Now, Variety has confirmed that it would be 'Pathaan' director Siddharth Anand who will helm the 'Tiger vs Pathaan' project.
Variety has also confirmed that the principal photography for 'Tiger vs Pathaan' will begin in January 2024.

“Siddharth is getting a dream cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for their first full-fledged film since ‘Karan Arjun’ and Siddharth will also be given all the support he needs to mount ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ as the biggest film that India has ever produced,” a trade source said, as per Variety.
Siddharth Anand had directed Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham-starrer 'Pathaan'. The new Hindi Bollywood movie went on to break all sorts of box office records, and the film is now the highest-grossing Hindi film in India as it broke the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'.
In the latest Bollywood news today, 'Pathaan' made more than Rs 520 crore at the domestic box office, and internationally, it collected more than Rs 1,000 crore.
The YRF Spy Universe had kicked off with the 'Ek Tha Tiger' starring Salman Khan in 2012. Then 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017), 'War' (2019) and 'Pathaan' released.
The four films have together grossed more than USD 300 million at the box office.
The next project in the YRF Spy Universe is 'Tiger 3', which is slated to release in November. The movie will see Salman Khan playing the role Avinash Singh Rathore, aka Tiger, who belongs to Indian intelligence agency RAW.
Katrina Kaif will play the role of Zoya, from Pakistan's ISI.
In 'War', Hrithik Roshan played a rogue RAW agent named Kabir Dhaliwal.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan played exiled RAW agent in 'Pathaan' whereas Deepika Padukone played ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.
Salman Khan had a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. It is expected that SRK would also be appearing in Salman's 'Tiger 3' which also stars Emraan Hashmi as the main villain.
