Malaika Arora has opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan in the first episode of her new reality show 'Moving In With Malaika'. While talking to director and choreographer Farah Khan, Malaika Arora let her guard down, and discussed her relationship with Arbaaz Khan, and it was then that she revealed the reason why she got married to Arbaaz.

While talking to Farah, Malaika Arora said: "I wanted to get married because I wanted to get out of the house, Farah. I am the one who proposed to Arbaaz. Nobody knows. It was not Arbaaz who proposed to me. It was the other way around. I actually said, ‘I want to get married. Are you ready?’ Very sweetly, he (Arbaaz) actually turned around and told me, you pick the day and the place. He said that."

"He let me be, a lot of me that I am today is also because of Arbaaz, because he let me be," she added.

Malaika Arora also opened up about what went wrong in her marriage, saying that now both she and Arbaaz are "better people".

"I was very young. I also changed. I also wanted different things in life. Somewhere I felt that was missing in my space and I needed to move on, and I thought the only way I could do that is if I could actually probably let go of certain ties, and today I think we are better people. We love and respect each other for the people we are," said Malaika.

"We have a child together and that is something that will never change. But I feel we are far better people than I think we were very irritable people, we had become very angry, negative people," she added.

Farah then agreed with Malaika, and she agreed that things were fine between the two till the release of 'Dabangg'.

'Moving In With Malaika' is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
