Sushant Singh Rajput had passed away in 2020.

Sushant Singh Rajput had passed away in 2020, and theories still continue to come up on the possible reason for his death. On Monday, speaking to TV9, a former employee of Mumbai's Cooper Hospital claimed that he thought the 'Kai Po Che' actor was “murdered”. The employee named Roopkumar Shah, who had allegedly witnessed postmortem of Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020, said that the actor did not die by suicide.

"When I saw Sushant's body for the first time, I quickly informed my seniors that I feel it is not suicide but a murder. I even told them that we should work as per the rules. However, my seniors told me to click pictures as soon as possible and give the body to the cops. Hence, we performed the postmortem in the night only," Shah told TV9, as reported by Times Now.

Now, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta Singh Kirti has reacted to the development, saying if there is an ounce of truth to this claim, then the CBI should “look into the matter diligently”.

Sharing the screenshot of the news report, Shweta on Instagram wrote: "If there is an ounce of truth to this evidence, we urge CBI to really look into it diligently. We have always believed that you guys will do a fair investigation and let us know the truth. Our heart aches to find no closure as yet. #justiceforsushantsinghrajput."

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his home in June 2020. Then in subsequent months, Mumbai Police, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) all investigated the matter and looked at possible different angles.

He had starred in various successful movies such as 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' 'Kedarnath', 'Kai Po Che', and 'Chhichhore'.

He had appeared on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list twice since 2017.

The actor's last film titled 'Dil Bechara' had released posthumously on Disney+ Hotstar.
