'Pathaan' will release in the theatres on January 25.

Shah Rukh Khan last starred in a full-length feature film way back in 2018 and after that, he took a four-year long hiatus from the silver screen. Yes, he did some cameos in major movies such as 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva', and 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. However, the fans of the megastar wanted to see their favourite actor return in a full-length feature film and their wish is coming true with the release of 'Pathaan' on January 25.

The tickets for the opening day are selling like hot cakes and 'Pathaan' is all set for a thunderous start at the box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Tuesday night gave an update on the ticket sales of 'Pathaan' and he confirmed that the movie has managed to beat 'War', 'Thugs of Hindostan', 'Sultan' and 'Dangal' in terms of Day 1 ticket sales at the national chains (PVR, INOX and Cinepolis).

Here's Taran Adarsh tweet:

The advance booking for 'Pathaan' had formally begun last Friday (January 20).

'Pathaan' marks SRK’s return to the big screen after four long years. He was last seen in a full-length feature film in 2018 in 'Zero' opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

SRK's last few films like 'Fan', 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' and 'Zero' did not prove to be commercial successes. Hence it is safe to say, that a lot is being relied upon 'Pathaan'.

'Pathaan', is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. All the assets of the film that YRF has released so far have turned out to be superhits right from the teaser, the two songs - 'Besharam Rang' and 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' - and the recently dropped trailer that caused an internet meltdown.
