If you are one of the few that missed out on watching Shah Rukh Khan's comeback project 'Pathaan' in the theatres, there is nothing to worry about. Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday confirmed that 'Pathaan' would be releasing on the platform on March 22. The announcement was made on the official Twitter handle of Prime Video India.

As soon as this announcement was made, #PathaanOnPrime started trending on Twitter and the fans cannot hold their excitement back.

However, Prime Video has not confirmed whether there would be an extended version of the movie available on the platform or not.

There has been widespread speculation that the OTT version might show some scenes which were not available in the theatrical cut.

Earlier, director Siddharth Anand had hinted that there might be a scene in the extended version, which will give insight into where 'Pathaan' was found and which religion he belongs to.

"It's the synergy that Abbas, Sridhar, Adi and me, it's the four of us, not the three of us. The four of us having the same belief system, and the same films we’ve adorned, grown up on, and believed in and the cinema that we believe in. We share that, we share the same sentiment. So, the fact that he doesn’t have a name, and he’s found in a theatre that was actually called Navrang, which got edited out, which you might see in the OTT version," Siddharth Anand said in an interview with Galatta Plus.

'Pathaan' which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, had released in the theatres on January 25 and the movie demolished records left, right and centre.

The movie has made more than Rs 525 crore at the domestic box office, and en route, it broke the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.

Internationally, 'Pathaan' has made more than Rs 1,000 crore, further establishing the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan in overseas markets.
