After Asking "Who Is Shah Rukh Khan", Assam CM Gets "2 AM" Phone Call From 'Pathaan' Star
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that SRK called him at 2 AM. Here's what the conversation was all about
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said that Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan called him regarding his upcoming release 'Pathaan'. A few days ago, some Bajrang Dal activists had stormed into a theatre at Narengi where 'Pathaan' is supposed to be screened. SRK expressed his concern regarding such incidents, as per the Assam Chief Minister.
Himanta Biswa Sarma has assured that the state government of Assam would ensure that there is law and order.
"Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film. I assured him that it’s the duty of the state govt to maintain law & order. We’ll enquire and ensure no such untoward incidents," tweeted Assam CM.

However, it is important to note that when the Assam CM was questioned about the theatre being stormed into, he had said: "Who is Shah Rukh Khan? I don’t know anything about him or his film Pathaan."
As per Indian Express, Himanta Biswa Sarma further said: "Khan has not called me, though many from Bollywood do so, regarding the problem. But if he does, I will look into the matter."
"Action will be taken if law and order has been violated and a case has been filed,” he added.
'Pathaan' marks SRK’s return to the big screen after four long years. He was last seen in a full-length feature film in 2018 in 'Zero' opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
'Pathaan', is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. All the assets of the film that YRF has released so far have turned out to be superhits right from the teaser, the two songs - 'Besharam Rang' and 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' - and the recently dropped trailer that caused an internet meltdown.
