'Pathaan' becomes highest-grossing Hindi film in India, breaks 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' record.

When Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' had released in 2017 and it eventually went on to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, no one would have thought that its collection of more than Rs 510 crore would be surpassed at the box office. It has taken almost six years, but the record has now been broken, and it now belongs to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'.

Yes, you read that right! The SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham-starrer 'Pathaan' went on to break the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' on Friday and it is now the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.

Shah Rukh Khan's wife, Gauri Khan also reacted to 'Pathaan' breaking all records, and on Twitter, she wrote: "Record breaking streak… #Pathaan ."

On Friday, Yash Raj Films introduced an additional buy-one-get-one-ticket scheme and it has managed to attract the audience.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had also confirmed that 'Pathaan' would indeed break the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' on Friday.

Now, in terms of highest-grossing Hindi films, 'Pathaan' is at the top spot, followed by 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', 'KGF: Chapter 2', and 'Dangal'.

Akshay Kumar's 'Selfiee' and Kartik Aaryan's 'Shehzada' were unable to fare well at the box office, and this helped the collection of 'Pathaan'.

However, the box-office run of 'Pathaan' might come to an end next week as Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' will be releasing on March 8.

'Pathaan' had released in theatres on January 25 and since its release, the Bollywood movie has made more than Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office. Internationally, the movie has made more than Rs 1,000 crore.

In 2023, SRK will also be seen in 'Jawan' and 'Dunki'. 'Jawan' has been directed by Atlee while 'Dunki' is helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. As per several media reports, 'Jawan' is likely to be postponed and the movie might not release in June.

Talking about 'Dunki', the movie is slated for a Christmas 2023 release. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu.
