Swara Bhasker Decks Up As A Telugu Bride As She Enjoys Carnatic Musical Evening With Fahad Ahmad. See Pics
Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad are celebrating their wedding festivities in Delhi with their close friends and family. Here's a glimpse into the celebrations.
Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad have fulfilled their promise. Last month, the Bollywood actress and activist-politician registered their marriage. However, they assured their fans that grand wedding celebrations will follow and it is finally happening! Over the weekend, Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad hosted a grand celebration for their family and friends as they were seen having a gala time enjoying the festivities. Swara, an avid social media user, also posted pictures and videos from their mehendi, haldi and sangeet functions.
The wedding celebrations are being held in Delhi and on Monday, Swara Bhasker channelled a Telugu bride for a musical evening, which had Carnatic vocalist Sudha Raghuraman performing live on stage. The decor was done traditionally with marigold flowers in front of a simple white setting.
Swara Bhasker shared a peek into the celebrations on her Instagram Stories.

The photos showed Swara wearing a red and golden saree complete with traditional jewellery to get the look of a Telugu bride. “Channelling Telugu Brides,” she wrote with one of the photos.
She looked stunning in a nose ring, matha patti, matching hair accessories, earrings, necklace, and matching glass bangles. Fahad Ahmad accompanied her in a cream kurta pyjama paired with a beige Nehru jacket.
Swara Bhasker also posted several pictures and videos from her mehendi and sangeet held on Sunday.
She had worn an orange anarkali suit for the mehendi and a green lehenga for the sangeet. She also danced as singer Deene Khan sang for her.
Prior to these, Swara had shared a couple of photos and videos from the haldi ceremony. The couple appears to have played Holi during their haldi rituals as they kicked off the wedding festivities around the same time as Holi.

Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad will also have a Qawwali night on March 15 followed by a reception the next day. A source close to the couple told Indian Express that the two have decided to let go of any traditional rituals and will just be enjoying the celebrations.
“There are no pheras or nikaah happening. These functions are just to celebrate their love and the bond they share with their loved ones,” the source told the media portal.
As per the source, all the functions are in Delhi and there is no celebration in Mumbai planned.
Swara Bhasker had announced in February 2023 that she had registered her marriage with Fahad Ahmad, who is the state president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing -- Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha.
She had shared a video to give a sneak peek into their love story.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Swara Bhasker is currently working on her next film, ‘Mrs Falani’. She was last seen in the 2022 film ‘Jahaan Chaar Yaar’, alongside Shikha Talsania and others.
