'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' collects more than Rs 25 crore in 2 days.

After collecting more than Rs 15 crore at the box office on the opening day of its release, all eyes were on how much the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' collects on the second day. Thursday was a working day, so it was expected that the new Hindi Bollywood movie would see a dip in collections, however, the Luv Ranjan-directorial has witnessed a drop of just a little more than 30 per cent, and the makers would be delighted.

On the second day, the new Hindi Bollywood movie 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' collected more than Rs 10 crore, taking the two-day total to more than Rs 25 crore.

As a result, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has collected more than Kartik Aaryan's 'Shehzada' and Akshay Kumar's 'Selfiee' in just two days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' on Twitter and he wrote: "#TuJhoothiMainMakkaar maintains the grip on Day 2… A 34.27% decline on a working day - after a holiday - was inevitable… Biz should start moving from Fri [evening] onwards, with Sat-Sun giving that extra boost… Wed 15.73 cr, Thu 10.34 cr. Total: ₹ 26.07 cr. #India biz. #TJMM."

Akshay Kumar's new Hindi Bollywood movie, 'Selfiee', which released on February 24, was unable to collect Rs 20 crore in its run at the domestic box office while Kartik Aaryan's 'Shehzada' made just a little over Rs 24 crore.

'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' has seen the second-best opening for a Bollywood movie in 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'.

The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer has received mixed reviews. Some fans are labelling it as one of the best rom-coms to emerge out of Bollywood in the last few years, while others are criticising the director Luv Ranjan for showing women in a poor light.

The critics might be giving the new Hindi Bollywood movie some mixed reviews, however, normal audience on Twitter has been going gaga and most of them reserved the highest praise for Ranbir Kapoor.

The actor has returned to the rom-com genre after a long gap. His last rom-com movie was 'Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani'.
