Vidya Balan, who never fails to inspire women with her body positivity notions, is always seen in classic traditional avatars wearing sarees. The actress has some of the most gorgeous collection of the elegant drapes, and she flaunts them with utmost grace. But she can also nail just about any other look, and a recently shared picture by ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani is the proof. In the bold photoshoot, the actress was captured in a sensual avatar, covering her modesty with a newspaper.
However, many of her fans are not quite impressed with Vidya’s bold avatar in the picture shared on Dabboo Ratnani’s Instagram account.

Vidya Balan, who is known for her outspoken personality and has often talked about the prevalent stereotypes in Bollywood, can be seen holding a newspaper in one hand and covering her modesty with it.
She held a mug in the other hand with bold makeup, sunglasses and a pair of heels rounding off her bold look.
Vidya, who has styled her tresses in curls for the fashion photoshoot, appears to be unclothed behind the newspaper.
However, the bold photo of Vidya Balan has received a mixed response from internet users. The comments section of the post was bombarded with both appreciation and trolls.
Several trolls referenced Vidya Balan's film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was based on the life of the late South actress Silk Smitha, others commented about the usage of the newspaper and some made what they thought were funny jokes about forgetting one's clothes.
One person commented, “Real photography, daily toilet mein subah aisha hi pose mein rehta hu mein, bina kapde aur paper ke saath.”
Another wrote, “IAS ki preparation kr rhi hai ma'am sayad.. Studies ke pressure me kapde miss hona aam baat hai.”
One user added, “Dirty Picture ki yaad aagayi.”

Some fans were thrilled about Vidya’s bold avatar and left comments like “smoking hot”, “hotness overloaded” and “stunning.”
Dabboo Ratnani, a well known celebrity photographer, has shot several other celebrities recently -- from Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. He has also shot some newer faces like Shehnaaz Gill.
Vidya Balan, who has taken the road less travelled, starring in out-of-the-box films, is best-known for her work in acclaimed movies like ‘Parineeta’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘Paa’ and, ‘The Dirty Picture’.
Her credits also include the original ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Begum Jaan’.
Vidya's last few film releases included ‘Shakuntala Devi’ and ‘Sherni’.
Vidya Balan was last seen in ‘Jalsa’, where she had shared screen space with Shefali Shah. The film received rave reviews.
The Bollywood actress will next be seen in ‘Neeyat’, which is being touted as a thriller.
