Massive 'War 2' Update! This 'RRR' Star Cast Alongside Hrithik Roshan In Ayan Mukerji-Directed New Hindi Movie
This is BIG! Hrithik Roshan will have this mega South Indian star alongside him in 'War 2'.
The big updates keep coming when it comes to the Indian film industry. On Tuesday, it was revealed that 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' director Ayan Mukerji will be helming Hrithik Roshan's 'War 2'. Now, in the latest entertainment news, it has been revealed that 'RRR' star Jr NTR will be starring alongside Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming YRF's Spy Universe film. Jr NTR is currently shooting his 30th film, whose working title reads 'NTR 30'. The movie also stars Janhvi Kapoor.
YRF's Spy Universe kicked off with Salman Khan's Tiger franchise in 2012. The spy universe over the years developed with movies like 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'War' and 'Pathaan'.

'Pathaan' was the latest offering of YRF's Spy Universe. The movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham had released in January this year. The next project in the YRF Spy Universe is 'Tiger 3' which is slated to release on Diwali this year.
“NTR Jr is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in ‘War 2.’ It’s going to be epic. Their battle of wits and their fierce showdown will definitely be an action spectacle to remember on the big screen. This move by Aditya Chopra enables ‘War 2’ to have the widest audience appeal for a Hindi film and it also widens the box office potential of the film. South India should come alive and connect at a more emotional level with the film because of the presence of their beloved superstar," Variety quoted a trade source as saying.
“NTR Jr is one of the most respected and followed icons from South India. He is said to be extremely choosy about his films and if he has given the film a nod, it means ‘War 2’ is eclipsing the first film in terms of plot as well as scale. Hrithik Roshan vs NTR Jr. will be a fight to remember,” the source added.
Not much is known about ‘War 2’ yet but the film promises to be an action-packed, thrilling ride that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats just like its first part. ‘War’, which released in October 2019, also starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.
In ‘War’, Hrithik Roshan essayed the role of rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal and Tiger Shroff was his protégé Khalid Rahmani.
Coming back to ‘War’, the film was directed by Siddharth Anand and turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of 2019 with collection of over Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office.
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will also be starring in YRF's ambitious project 'Tiger Vs Pathaan'. The movie is expected to go on the floors next year.
