Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan have given many hits over the years and their film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is still viewed as one of the best romantic movies to come out of Bollywood.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are looked as one of the best on-screen pairings and the duo has starred in multiple hit films such as 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Baazigar', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. Kajol has been busy promoting her new movie 'Salaam Venky' which will hit the theatres on December 9 and in a recent appearance on the ‘Beer Biceps Podcast’, the actor spoke about the success of Shah Rukh Khan.
“Shah Rukh is one of those people who recognised very early on who he was on screen, who he was expected to be, and pretty much lived up to those expectations. I remember once on his birthday, I was like, ‘It’s your birthday, I’m coming to see you’. He said, ‘Come, come, but today’s not a good day’. I said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘I have to go out, I have to meet all these people, give interviews. At the end of the day, my birthday’s not mine own anymore. I belong to these people’. And that’s who he is," said Kajol on the podcast, as reported by the Indian Express.
Kajol then went on to talk about the differences between Shah Rukh and her husband Ajay Devgn. She then recalled how someone once asked her why the 'Chak de India' actor became such a big star.
“The answer is so simple. It’s because he worked hard for it. Maybe his hard work doesn’t show, and Ajay Devgn’s shows. He just works 24/7 at making sure he is who he is, unchanging, and at the same time, changing, and evolving, and doing other things," said Kajol.
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, the actor will next be seen in 'Pathaan' which will hit the theatres on January 25, 2023. Next year, he will also be seen in 'Jawan' and 'Dunki'.
'Jawan' is being directed by Atlee Kumar while Dunki is being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani.
