Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira' and Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' failed the Monday test.

Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira', which is the official Hindi remake of Suriya's National Award-winning 'Soorarai Pottru', failed to pass the crucial Monday test. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, the new Hindi film minted just Rs 1.40 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. For the unversed, the film had recorded Akshay Kumar's lowest opening in the last 15 years. Earlier, 'Sarfira' had collected Rs 4.50 crore on Saturday and then on Sunday, the film witnessed growth of another 20 percent, collecting Rs 5.50 crore. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 13.40 crore. On Monday, 'Sarfira' had an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.63 per cent.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ was released in cinemas on Friday (July 12), alongside Shankar and Kamal Haasan's ‘Indian 2’. The new Tamil film minted Rs 3.15 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release, as per Sacnilk. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 62.30 crore.

Coming to Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the new pan-India film continues to dominate the box office. Going by the box office collection, the film is easily the first choice among cinephiles. 

On Monday (Day 19 of its release), 'Kalki 2898 AD' minted Rs 4.30 crore, as per Sacnilk. Out of this Rs 4.30 crore, the Hindi version contributed Rs 2.50 crore. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 584.45 crore.

The Hindi version has so far minted Rs 257.10 crore, while the Telugu version has made Rs 267.10 crore. As per the makers, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has now registered a worldwide gross box office collection of Rs 1,000 crore.

Lastly, speaking of Raghav Juyal and Lakshya's 'Kill', which has been backed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, minted Rs 0.65 crore on Monday (11th day of its release). As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film currently stands at Rs 15.55 crore.
