'Animal' vs 'Sam Bahadur' Advance Booking Day 1: Who Will Win The Battle Between Ranbir Kapoor And Vicky Kaushal
Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' will be releasing in theatres on Friday, December 1.
2023 has been a solid year for Bollywood as many movies have tasted success. Films like 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', 'Gadar 2', 'OMG 2', 'Tiger 3', 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', and 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar', all went past Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office to emerge as a success story. Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' and Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' released on the same date (August 11), but despite a clash, both films tasted success at the box office.
December 2023 is a big month for Bollywood, and on December 1, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' will be releasing in theatres. It needs to be seen whether both movies will be able to replicate the success of 'Oh My Gadar' (Gadar 2 and OMG 2), or not.
However, the advance booking of both films have started on a positive note. The advance of 'Animal' is following the trajectory of 'Gadar 2', while 'Sam Bahadur' is going the 'OMG 2' way.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Animal' has so far sold 2,09, 986 tickets for the opening day while 'Sam Bahadur' has sold 18,861 tickets for Day 1. It needs to be noted that there are still four days left till the movies release in theatres.
It needs to be noted that the full-fledged advance booking for 'Sam Bahadur' is yet to open across India.
'Animal' is poised to be the biggest opener of Ranbir Kapoor's career, and it needs to be seen where it ranks in terms of the biggest Hindi movie openers of 2023. The runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, however, might let 'Animal' down in terms of movie shows in India.
'Sam Bahadur' looks like a high-content film, and if the word of mouth is good, then Vicky Kaushal might just hit it out of the park.
'Animal' also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Talking about 'Sam Bahadur', the film is backed by RSVP, and the movie is based on the life of Sam Maneckshaw. Vicky Kaushal is playing the titular character.
The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as Sam Bahadur's wife Siloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub are also playing the key roles of Jawaharlal Nehru and Yahya Khan, in the film.
