Ayushmann Khurrana And Ananya Panday’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ Hits Half Century At Box Office
'Dream Girl 2', starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, continues to withstand competition from 'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2' at the box office.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s new Hindi movie ‘Dream Girl 2’ continued to draw crowds to cinemas on its first Wednesday. The Bollywood film, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, opened to mixed reviews from critics. The new Hindi movie is also facing tough competition from Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ at the box office. Despite the mixed reviews and the stiff competition, ‘Dream Girl 2’ continued its winning streak at the box office and entered the Rs 50 crore club in less than a week of its release.
Raksha Bandhan 2023 holiday gave a boost to the new Hindi movie, and as a result, 'Dream Girl 2' collected Rs 7.50 crore on Wednesday, taking the total nett collection of the movie to Rs 59.50 crore in India. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of ‘Dream Girl 2’ on Twitter.

'Dream Girl 2' had collected Rs 10.69 crore on the day of its release. The new Hindi movie saw a significant jump in its numbers on Saturday and Sunday, collecting Rs 14.02 crore and 16 crore, respectively, taking the weekend total to more than Rs 40 crore.
In ‘Dream Girl 2’, Ayushmann Khurrana is playing dual roles of Karam and Pooja. Ananya Panday is portraying the love interest of Ayushmann.
Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana had expressed his happiness over 'Dream Girl 2' getting a good opening. “It feels amazing to deliver my career’s best opening with Dream Girl 2. Dream Girl is a franchise that has given me a lot of love and I’m really happy with the start that Dream Girl 2 has got at the box office,” Ayushmann Khurrana said in a statement.
“As an entertainer, it feels amazing to bring people to theatres and experience them having a great time. Dream Girl 2 is a film that delivers entertainment in spades. It has a big promise that people will laugh their hearts out and it is good to note that the film has lived up to the expectations to take this solid start at the counters,” he added.
Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, ‘Dream Girl 2’ also stars Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, Manjot Singh and Vijay Raaz.
‘Dream Girl 2’, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, is a sequel to Ayushmann Khurrana Khurrana’s 2019 hit ‘Dream Girl’ in which he was paired opposite Nushrratt Bharuccha.
