Box Office Collection After Day 3: SRK's 'Jawan' vs Sunny Deol' 'Gadar 2'

'Jawan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanya Malhotra, is wreaking havoc at the box office. The movie, which has opened to favourable reviews from both critics and audiences, is on a money-making spree, and the three-day collection will literally blow your mind. In the latest entertainment news, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Jawan' collected Rs 68.72 crore in the Hindi version on Saturday, taking the three-day total nett collection to a whopping Rs 180.45 crore.

Previously, 'Jawan' had collected Rs 65.50 crore in the Hindi version on Thursday, and then it followed it up with a collection of Rs 46.23 crore on Friday.
When one includes the collection of Tamil and Telugu versions as well, the three-day nett collection of 'Jawan' stands at Rs 206.06 crore. The Tamil version has earned Rs 14.37 crore in three days while the Telugu version has earned Rs 10.63 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. If the earnings of all three versions are taken into account, then 'Jawan' has become the first Hindi film to enter Rs 200 crore in just three days.

When one compares 'Jawan's three-day collection to 'Pathaan' and 'Gadar 2', here's how things look.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer 'Gadar 2' directed by Anil Sharma had collected Rs 135 crore in three days in the Hindi version while Siddharth Anand's 'Pathaan' starring SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham had collected Rs 161 crore after three days.
'Pathaan' is currently the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time in India with a collection of Rs 524 crore in India while 'Gadar 2' is the second-highest grosser.
Now, it needs to be seen whether 'Jawan' manages to leave these two films behind to become the all-time highest-grosser.
'Jawan' has a free run till September 28 in the theatres. On September 28, 'Fukrey 3' will be hitting the cinema halls, and 'Jawan' might face stiff competition.
Talking about 'Jawan', the movie has been directed by Atlee, and it has been produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. It also features Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. The new movie also stars Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo appearances.
Billed as a high-octane thriller, ‘Jawan’ follows the story of a man set out to correct the wrongs of society. The film also touches upon issues like government apathy, corruption, farmers' suicide, a healthcare system in shambles, faulty army weapons, and dangerous factories set near residential areas.
On the other hand, 'Gadar 2' is written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Rakesh Bedi, Simrat Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa among others.
Set in the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, the film follows the story of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he goes to Pakistan to save his son (Utkarsh Sharma) from captivity.
