Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' has gotten off to a fantastic start at the box office. In the latest entertainment news, the new Hindi film, which has been released in cinemas on Friday, May 31, has recorded the highest advance ticket sales for any Hindi movie in 2024. As per Pinkvilla journalist Himesh Mankad, 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' has sold 2.15 lakh tickets across major national cinema chains in the country.
'Mr & Mrs Mahi' has benefitted owing to Cinema Lovers Day. The tickets across India are valued at Rs 99.
'Mr & Mrs Mahi' has now topped Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s 'Fighter'. The Siddharth Anand directorial had sold 1.45 lakh tickets in advance for the opening day of its release. Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s 'Article 370' is at the third spot in the list as it sold 1.25 lakh tickets prior to its release (for Rs 99 per ticket).
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 'sold 1.03 lakh advance tickets, while Ajay Devgn’s box office hit 'Shaitaan' sold 81,000 advance tickets for its opening day.

Himesh Mankad also revealed that 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' is running housefull in Delhi.
"#MrAndMrsMahi is operating at unheard occupancy in Delhi - Houseful shows all across the board. Not seen a sight like this in a long time for a mid-budget film. Yet another example of India being a price sensitive market. Also a message to producers to objectively identify the potential of their product and opt for affordable pricing (of course, not Rs 99) rather than BOGO & Self Buying," he wrote on X.

‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya.
The new Hindi movie is directed by Sharan Sharma, who made his directorial debut with ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, which starred Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role.
‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
Now, it needs to be seen whether 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' delivers a double-digit opening or not.
