Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan' All Set To Emerge As Bollywood's Biggest Opener, Advance Booking Going Through The Roof

Shah Rukh Khan's new Hindi movie 'Jawan' is unstoppable when it comes to advance booking numbers. The highly-anticipated movie, directed by Atlee, is setting records every day. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the SRK, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer has already grossed a remarkable Rs 21.14 crore in India, selling over seven lakh tickets. For the unversed, 'Jawan' will release in theatres on September 7, 2023. 'Jawan' has so far sold 6,75,735 tickets in the Hindi 2D market, with an additional 13,268 tickets sold for IMAX screenings, as reported by Sacnilk.
In Tamil market, 'Jawan' has managed to sell 28,945 tickets and in the Telugu market, it has sold more than 24,000 tickets. In total, 7,41,958 tickets have been sold for 'Jawan'.
As of now, the record of being Bollywood's biggest opener belongs to 'Pathaan' as it had collected Rs 55 crore on the opening day of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Tuesday morning reported that more than 3 lakh tickets have been sold in three national cinema chains (PVR, INOX and Cinepolis).

On Sunday, SRK conducted an #AskSRK session on X, formerly known as Twitter, and when one fan asked him how he feels looking at the advance booking of 'Jawan', SRK said: "Very happy that all of you want to see films in theatres as a community. #Jawan will Insha Allah be big screen experience for all.”
“I feel blessed by the love of so many people! My family and me are eternally grateful to all for this immense love. #Jawan," he added.
Apart from SRK, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, 'Jawan' also stars Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Sunil Grover.
'Jawan' will also be releasing in Tamil and Telugu languages. Apart from 'Jawan', SRK will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' this year. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu.
