'Madgaon Express' has outperformed Randeep Hooda's 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' in the opening weekend.

Kunal Kemmu''s directorial debut 'Madgaon Express' has outperformed Randeep Hooda's 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' in the opening weekend. Both the films witnessed a slight increase in their collections on Sunday, however, its the comedy film that holds the edge over 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. Both the films are expected to go past the Rs 10 crore mark in the coming days. 

As per Sacnilk, 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' saw a slight increase in collections on Sunday, the third day of its release. The film minted Rs 2.60 crore on Sunday, so the three-day opening weekend collection stands at Rs 5.90 crore. 

On the other hand, 'Madgaon Express' starring Avinash Tiwary, Divyendu Sharma, and Pratik Gandhi, minted Rs 2.85 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release. The three-day opening weekend collection now stands at Rs 7.10 crore, as per Sacnilk. 

'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' had an overall 29.60 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday while 'Madgaon Express' had an overall 18.90 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday. 

'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' and 'Madgaon Express' are expected to record respectable collection on Monday, as it is a holiday owing to Holi. 

Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani-starrer 'Yodha', which was released on March 15, made Rs 1.60 crore on Sunday, which was the 10th day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 29.25 crore.

Lastly, Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika-starrer 'Shaitaan', which was released on March 8, continues to go strong at the box office. As per Sacnilk, the new Hindi film made Rs 4.50 crore on Sunday, which was the 17th day of its release.

The total nett domestic collection of 'Shaitaan' has now risen to Rs 125.70 crore. 

Hollywood film 'Kung Fu Panda 4', that was released on March 15, is also continuing its golden run at the box office. The new Hindi made Rs 3.15 crore on Sunday, the 10th day of its release. The total collection of 'Kung Fu Panda 4' in India has now risen to Rs 24.60 crore.
