Kunal Kemmu’s Directorial Debut ‘Madgaon Express’ Races Ahead Of Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’

Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut ‘Madgaon Express’ is maintaining a respectable trend at the domestic box office. The new Hindi movie is continuing to outperform Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande-starrer ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. Both the new Indian movies earned more than Rs 2 crore on Monday, which was a holiday owing to Holi 2024. However, ‘Madgaon Express’ has a higher four-day collection as compared to ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’. As per Sacnilk, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ maintained steady collection on Monday as it minted Rs 2.25 crore on the fourth day of its release. The four-day collection now stands at Rs 8.25 crore.

On the other hand, ‘Madgaon Express’ minted Rs 2.60 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The four-day collection now stands at Rs 9.65 crore, as per Sacnilk.

‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ had an overall 29.61 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday, while ‘Madgaon Express’ had an overall 23.87 per cent Hindi occupancy. 

It remains to be seen how much money these two films make on Tuesday, and this will give an indication towards their lifetime business. Both the films will face tough competition from this Friday as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Crew’ will be releasing in cinemas.

Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani-starrer ‘Yodha’, which released on March 15, made Rs 1.60 crore on Monday, which was the 11th day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 30.85 crore.

Lastly, Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika-starrer ‘Shaitaan’, which was released on March 8, continues to go strong at the box office. As per Sacnilk, the new Hindi film made Rs 3.25 crore on Sunday, which was the 18th day of its release.

The total nett domestic collection of ‘Shaitaan’ now stands at Rs 128.80 crore.

Hollywood film ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’, which released on March 15, is also continuing its golden run at the box office. The new movie made Rs 1.40 crore on Monday, the 11th day of its release. The total collection of ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ in India is currently Rs 26.10 crore.
