Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' Goes Past Lifetime Domestic Collection Of 'Pathaan' And 'Gadar 2'

The new pan-India film might have slowed down at the box office, but it is still managing to demolish records. In the latest entertainment news, 'Kalki 2898 AD', which is a science-fiction magnum opus has gone past the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' and Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2'. 'Kalki 2898 AD' has taken just 15 days to achieve this feat. On Thursday, the film minted Rs 6.70 crore, across all languages, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 543.45 crore.
The Telugu version has contributed Rs 253.85 crore while the Hindi version has so far minted Rs 232.90 crore.
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham's 'Pathaan' had collected Rs 543.05 crore at the box office during its lifetime run while Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's 'Gadar 2' minted Rs 525.45 crore at the box office, as per Sacnilk.
'Kalki 2898 AD' is also now the biggest hit of 2024. Talking about Hindi films, 'Kalki 2898 AD' beat Hrithik Roshan, Deepika and Anil Kapoor's 'Fighter' to achieve the feat.
The film has also crossed Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal's worldwide collection, but it is yet to cross the domestic total of the film.
In India, 'Animal' had made Rs 556.36 crore, and it is safe to say that 'Kalki 2898 AD' will go past the film in the days to come.
It now remains to be seen whether 'Kalki 2898 AD' manages to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club or not. It is important to mention that 'Kalki 2898 AD' is the second-biggest hit of Prabhas' career after 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'.
'Kalki 2898 AD' is now the biggest hit of Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan's careers. The new pan-India film will now face stiff competition from Kamal Hassan’s 'Indian 2' and Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira'.
