Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil-starrer 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' continues to rake in the moolah at the box office. The new pan-India film, directed by Sukumar, registered phenomenal numbers in its third weekend as well and the movie is now nearing the Rs 1,100 crore mark in India. 'Pushpa 2' minted a total of Rs 72.3 crore in its third weekend. The film made Rs 33.25 crore on Sunday, Rs 24.75 crore on Saturday, and Rs 14.3 crore on Friday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Of this Rs 33.25 crore on Sunday, the Hindi version contributed Rs 26.75 crore. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at a whopping Rs 1,062.90 crore.

The Hindi version has so far collected Rs 679.65 crore and as a result, 'Pushpa 2' is now the highest-grossing film in the Hindi language, beating the record of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree 2'.

The Telugu version has minted Rs 307.80 crore, while the Tamil and Malayalam versions have earned Rs 54.05 crore and Rs 14.04 crore respectively.

'Pushpa 2' has already beaten the lifetime collection of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' in India as the latter had made Rs 1030.42 crore in 2017.

When it comes to the global market, just 'Dangal' and 'Baahubali 2' are ahead of 'Pushpa 2'. It remains to be seen whether the Sukumar directorial has enough legs to beat the record of these two films.

'Pushpa 2' continues to go from strength-to-strength even when there is an intense war going on between Allu Arjun and the Telangana government.

On Sunday, protestors vandalised Allu Arjun's home, creating a furore over the death of a woman and her critically ill son.

Recently, Allu Arjun had also addressed a press conference regarding the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at the screening of 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad.

The actor also issued a statement asking his fans to not use abusive language. "I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behaviour both online and offline," he said.

"Misrepresenting as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request the fans to not engage with such posts," he added.

At the press conference held on Saturday, Allu Arjun addressed the allegations made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Chief Minister had earlier accused the actor of visiting the theatre despite police denying permission.
