Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira' Witnesses 70 PC Growth, Mints Rs 4.25 Crore On Day 2

Akshay Kumar's latest Hindi film 'Sarfira' witnessed a growth of 70 per cent on Day 2 at the box office. In the latest entertainment news, 'Sarfira' minted Rs 4.25 crore on Saturday, the second day of its release. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's total two-day nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 6.75 crore. For the unversed, 'Sarfira' registered an opening of Rs 2.50 crore, and this is Akshay Kumar's lowest opening of his career in the last 15 years.
'Sarfira' had an overall 21.76 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, with maximum occupancy coming in the evening shows.
For the unversed, 'Sarfira' which has been directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is the Hindi remake of the National Award-winning Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020), starring Suriya.
'Sarfira' was released in cinemas on Friday, alongside Shankar and Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'. The new Tamil film witnessed a dip of 34.77 per cent on Saturday and minted Rs 16.70 crore, as per Sacnilk.
The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 42.30 crore. Out of this Rs 42.30 crore, the Tamil version has contributed Rs 29.50 crore while the Hindi and Telugu versions have minted Rs 2.40 crore and Rs 10.40 crore, respectively.
Coming to Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the new pan-India film continues to dominate the box office, even in its third weekend.
On Saturday (day 17 of its release), 'Kalki 2898 AD' minted Rs 14.45 crore, as per Sacnilk. Out of this Rs 14.45 crore, the Hindi version contributed Rs 8 crore. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 563.80 crore.
The Hindi version has so far minted Rs 244.70 crore while the Telugu version has made Rs 260.50 crore. As per the makers, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has now registered a worldwide gross box office collection of Rs 1,000 crore.
Lastly, speaking of Raghav Juyal and Lakshya's 'Kill' which has been backed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, the new Hindi film which was released last week, minted Rs 1.30 crore on Saturday (the 9th day of its release). As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film currently stands at Rs 13.20 crore.
