‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ Box Office Collection, Day 7: Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani’s Film Crosses Rs 50 Crore Mark

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s second collaboration together, ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’, is making headlines for all the right reasons. From receiving a standing ovation in a theatre to a video of them singing their movie’s hit song ‘Aaj Ke Baad’, Kartik and Kiara have been ruling our social media feeds ever since they started promoting the new Hindi movie. Looks like their on-screen chemistry and off-screen friendship is being loved by fans as their new Bollywood film ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’ is performing well at the box office.
In its first week, the new Hindi movie managed to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’, which released on June 29, had received favourable reviews from critics.
In the latest Bollywood box office news, according to a new report by industry tracker Sacnilk, the new Hindi movie has earned Rs 50.61 crore till now. The film had registered a decent opening of Rs 9.25 crore on the Ed-Al-Adha holiday on Thursday.
While ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’ dipped to Rs 7 crore on Friday, the romantic drama recorded a significant jump in its box office collection on Saturday and Sunday, minting Rs 10.10 crore and Rs 12.15 crore, respectively.
On its first Monday, the movie collected Rs 4 crore and recorded a similar figure on Tuesday. The new Hindi movie went on to collect Rs 3.85 crore on Wednesday, managing to cross the Rs 50 crore mark.
The film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, registered a better opening weekend than Sudipto Sen’s ‘The Kerala Story’.
The box office performance of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ has till now been decent, especially compared to Kartik Aaryan’s last release, ‘Shehzada’ (2023), a remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’.
Apart from Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ also stars Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant and Shikha Talsania.
‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, marked Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s second collaboration after their 2022 hit film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
On Friday, ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’ will face some competition from Vidya Balan's suspense thriller ‘Neeyat’, which also stars Ram Kapoor, Amrita Puri, Prajakta Koli, Rahul Bose and others.
