SRK Back On Top As 'Jawan' Dethrones 'Gadar 2' To Become Highest-Grossing Film In Hindi In India
‘Gadar 2’ was on top for just one day as Shah Rukh Khan reclaimed the top spot yet again!
On Thursday, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer 'Gadar 2' had surpassed the collections of 'Pathaan' to become the highest-grossing film in Hindi in India. However, everyone knew it was a matter of time before Shah Rukh Khan reclaimed the top spot yet again. In the latest entertainment news, 'Gadar 2' has lost the throne to SRK inside 24 hours as 'Jawan' directed by Atlee has made its way to the top spot.
'Jawan', which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in leading roles, collected Rs 5.81 crore on Thursday, and now the total collection stands at Rs 525.90 crore in Hindi. The Tamil and Telugu versions have also so far contributed Rs 58.82 crore.
With this feat, Shah Rukh Khan has become the only Indian actor after Raj Kapoor in 1949, to score back-to-back all-time grossers in the same year. 'Pathaan' which starred SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, released in January this year, and collected Rs 524.53 crore in Hindi.
Across all languages, 'Jawan' has made Rs 584.72, and the new Hindi film is expected to cross the Rs 600 crore mark by the end of this week.

'Fukrey 3' and 'The Vaccine War' are the new major Hindi releases this week, however, these two films have so far not managed to put a stop to the collection of 'Jawan', and it looks like, the movie will keep on earning money till the next week.
On October 6, two more movies are releasing in the form of 'Thank You For Coming' and Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Raniganj'.
Talking about 'Jawan', the new Hindi movie has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, and it also features cameos by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
SRK will next be seen in 'Dunki', directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It will be releasing on December 22, 2023, and the movie will be going up against Prabhas' 'Salaar' at the box office.
