There is no stopping ‘Shaitaan’ at the box office. The new Hindi movie continues to go from strength to strength at ticket counters in India. The Vikas Bahl directorial, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and Jyotika, has gone past the Rs 50 crore mark in India. It remains to be seen whether the film has enough legs to breach the Rs 100 crore mark. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Shaitaan’ minted Rs 20.50 crore on Sunday, which was the third day of its release.

The total nett domestic collection of ‘Shaitaan’ now stands at Rs 54 crore. ‘Shaitaan’ has now recorded the second-highest opening weekend for any Hindi movie in 2024 after Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor-starrer ‘Fighter’.

A crucial Monday test is now on the cards for the new Hindi movie, and it remains to be seen if the film will manage to mint money in double digits. As per Sacnilk, ‘Shaitaan’ has sold 68,646 tickets for Monday (Day 4), grossing Rs 1.15 crore.

‘Shaitaan’ has to make the most of the coming weekdays since Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani's ‘Yodha’ is slated to release in cinemas on Friday, March 15.

If ‘Yodha’ ends up receiving a favourable word-of-mouth, then ‘Shaitaan’ might find it difficult to earn money at a brisk pace.

‘Shaitaan’ has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. The plot of the film revolves around a happy family and how their lives take a turn for the worse after meeting a mysterious man.

Speaking of Yami Gautam and Priyamani's ‘Article 370’, which released in cinemas on February 23, collected Rs 3.35 crore on Sunday, which was the 17th day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of ‘Article 370’ now stands at Rs 65.65 crore.

On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ also continues to mint money. As per Sacnilk, the Hindi film, which was released on February 9, has so far collected Rs 83.58 crore in India.
