‘Singham Again’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ Set Box Office On Fire, Enter Rs 100 Crore Club In Opening Weekend
‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ set the cash registers ringing as they entered the Rs 100 crore club in just three days.
Both 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' had an opening weekend to remember. The new Hindi movies entered the Rs 100 crore club in just three days. Rohit Shetty’s 'Singham Again', starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor, set the box office on fire. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the actioner earned Rs 35 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release. While the Sunday collection is lesser than Friday and Saturday, but the film has comfortably gone past the Rs 100 crore mark.
‘Singham Again’ had minted Rs 43.50 crore on the opening day of its release, while on Saturday, it earned Rs 42.50 crore. After three days, the total nett domestic collection of the film stands at Rs 121 crore. It is worth mentioning that 'Singham Again' is operating on more screens as compared to 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'.
Coming to 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', the film has been directed by Anees Bazmee and stars Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri. The new Hindi movie earned Rs 33.50 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release.
The total nett domestic collection of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' now stands at Rs 106 crore. Earlier, the Anees Bazmee directorial earned Rs 35.50 crore on the opening day of its release, while on Saturday, it witnessed a slight jump, earning Rs 37 crore.
Earlier, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' had emerged as the biggest opener for Kartik Aaryan. 'Singham Again' is also the biggest opener for both Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty.
On Sunday, 'Singham Again' had an overall occupancy of 52.55 per cent, while 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' had an occupancy of 67.27 per cent. The three-day total of 'Singham Again' currently stands ahead of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', and the weekday collections will show which film emerges as the winner in this big box-office clash.
Now, it remains to be seen how both the films perform on Monday, and the collection on the fourth day of its release, will give an indication of how much they can potentially make in the long run.
Coming back to 'Singham Again', Arjun Kapoor plays the antagonist in the film, while Salman Khan also has a cameo appearance as Chulbul Pandey in the film.
Both 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' had opened to mixed reviews.
