Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree 2' is poised to emerge as an all-time blockbuster. The new Hindi film, which also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi, released in cinemas on Independence Day 2024, and the new Hindi movie is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. 'Stree 2' continues to decimate Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' and John Abraham's 'Vedaa' at the box office. 

After minting more than Rs 50 crore on August 15, 'Stree 2' earned Rs 30 crore on Friday, the second day of its release. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi film now stands at Rs 90.30 crore.

It is important to mention that 'Stree 2' is already ahead of last year's Independence Day release, 'Gadar 2', starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. 

However, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Stree 2' has gone past the Rs 100 crore mark. The film has taken just two days to achieve this feat. 

For the unversed, in the first two days of its release, 'Gadar 2' had made Rs 83.18 crore and 'Stree 2' has already overtaken that number. 

On Friday, 'Stree 2' had an overall Hindi occupancy of 45.31 per cent. The collection is now set to witness another spike over the weekend. On Monday, there is a partial holiday, owing to Raksha Bandhan, and the makers are hoping that the film nears the Rs 200 crore mark by the end of this week. 

As per several reports, 'Stree 2' has already recovered its budget; hence, the film is set to emerge as a blockbuster. 

Speaking of 'Khel Khel Mein' and 'Vedaa', both films witnessed a massive fall on Friday, the second day of their release. Both Hindi films failed to collect even Rs 2 crore on the second day of their release. 

As per Sacnilk, 'Khel Khel Mein', which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Pragya Jaiswal, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal and Vaani Kapoor, the new Hindi film earned Rs 1.90 crore on Friday. The two-day total now stands at a below-par Rs 6.95 crore. 

On the other hand, John Abraham's 'Vedaa', which also stars Sharvari Wagh, Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia, the Nikkhil Advani directorial earned Rs 1.60 crore on Friday, the second day of its release. The two-day tally of the film now stands at Rs 7.90 crore.
