Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ Remains Steady, Inches Closer To Rs 50 Crore Mark
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark in India.
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s new Hindi movie ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, which marks their first collaboration, is performing decently well at the domestic box office. For a mid-budget movie, it is remarkable that ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ continues to mint money at a steady pace on weekdays. It is now certain that the new Hindi movie will be going past the Rs 50 crore mark by Saturday, which will be the ninth day of its release.
As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ minted Rs 3.25 crore on Thursday, which was the seventh day of its release.
The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 44.60 crore. ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has now gone past the collection of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's previous theatrical releases, ‘Jersey’ and ‘Ganapath’, respectively.
It remains to be seen whether ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has enough legs to beat the lifetime collection of 2023's ‘Zara Hatka Zara Bachke’ (Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-starrer) and ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’ (Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s film).
Speaking of ‘Fighter’, which released on January 25, has gone past the Rs 200 crore mark in India, becoming the first Hindi film of 2024 to do so.
The Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor-starrer minted Rs 1 crore on Thursday, which was the 22nd day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the Siddharth Anand directorial now stands at Rs 201.90 crore.
Coming back to ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, the new Hindi movie has been directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah.
The film opened to mixed reviews from critics, and the makers have left room for a second installment. ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ also stars Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles.
The new Hindi movie has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. In ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Shahid plays the role of a scientist, who ends up falling in love with Kriti's robot character, SIFRA, whose name stands for “Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation.”
‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has one more week to collect money at a steady pace. For the unversed, Yami Gautam and Priyamani-starrer ‘Article 370’ is slated to release in cinemas on February 23, 2024, and the film is expected to do well, considering it is based on a real-life incident.
