Vikrant Massey's ‘12th Fail’ Continues To Rake In Moolah, Surpasses Rs 25 Crore Mark In India

Vikrant Massey recently came out with his new Hindi movie ‘12th Fail’, which released in theatres on October 27. The new Hindi movie released alongside Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tejas’. While ‘Tejas’ is struggling at the box office, Vikrant Massey’s ‘12th Fail’ is continuing to rake in the moolah.
‘12th Fail’, helmed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is receiving praise from all quarters. Critics, audiences and celebrities have lauded the inspiring movie. And the low-budget film has now crossed the Rs 25 crore mark in India. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the latest box office figures of ‘12th Fail’ on X (formerly Twitter).

As per Taran Adarsh, the new Hindi movie made Rs 1.75 crore on its second Friday followed by Rs 3.40 crore and Rs 3.30 crore on its second Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The movie saw a dip in its numbers but continued to mint money through its second week. It made Rs 1.31 crore on its second Monday, Rs 1.40 crore on Tuesday and Rs 1.45 crore on its second Wednesday, taking its total collection to Rs 25.61 crore in India.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tejas’ has so far only minted Rs 6.02 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
Coming back to ‘12th Fail’, the film tells the story of ambition, dedication and overcoming setbacks. The new Hindi movie is based on Anurag Pathak's best-selling novel about the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.
The film also stars Medha Shankar, Sukumar Tudu, and Harish Khanna, among others. Reportedly, Vikrant Massey has a bagged a role in Rajkumar Hirani’s next. Touted to be a two-hero film, it might also star Ranbir Kapoor.
