Finally, the D-day is here! 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, released in theatres on Friday, December 1. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is expected to take a blockbuster start at the box office. The movie, produced by T-Series Films, ST Film and Bhadrakali Pictures Production, is poised to collect at least Rs 45-50 crore on the opening day. And the new Hindi movie’s collection can be even higher, depending on the word of mouth.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' is expected to collect Rs 100 crore globally on Day 1, and it remains to be seen whether the new Hindi movie manages to come near to the opening day collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s films 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.

The advance booking of ‘Animal’ opened on last Saturday (November 25), and ticket sales have been going through the roof. Hence, let us have a look at where the new Hindi film stands in terms of advance booking at national cinema chains (PVR, INOX, Cinepolis) for Day 1.

As per Pinkvilla journalist Himesh Mankad, when one talks about booking across national cinema chains, 'Animal' now holds the fifth spot.

When one talks about all India, 'Animal' has managed to sell 13,52,578 tickets, grossing Rs 33.97 crore.

For the unversed, 'Animal' is not the solo release this weekend as another high-profile film has hit the theatres. Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra-starrer 'Sam Bahadur' has also released in theatres this week.

Talking about 'Sam Bahadur', the new Hindi managed to sell 1,03,192 tickets across India for the opening day, grossing Rs 3.05 crore.

Now, it remains to be seen how much money both movies manage to make on the opening day.
