Will Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Beat 'Pathaan' Record To Become Biggest Bollywood Opener? What Advance Booking Suggests
'Jawan' is all set to release in theatres on Thursday, September 7.
'Jawan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to release worldwide on Thursday, September 7. The advance booking has resumed in full flow, and we are witnessing some record-breaking advance ticket sales. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Atlee-directorial which also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone, has already done a business of almost Rs 17 crore, selling over five lakh tickets across the country for the opening day.
As per Sacnilk, a total of 5,77,255 tickets have been sold so far for 'Jawan'. In the Hindi market, 5,29,568 tickets have been sold in the 2D format.
The same report states that the Tamil and Telugu markets have sold 19,899 and 16,230 tickets, respectively.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Sunday said that more than 2,40,000 tickets have been sold at national cinema chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis).

On Sunday, SRK conducted an #AskSRK session on X, formerly known as Twitter, and when one fan asked him how he feels looking at the advance booking of 'Jawan', SRK said: "Very happy that all of you want to see films in theatres as a community. #Jawan will Insha Allah be big screen experience for all.”
“I feel blessed by the love of so many people! My family and me are eternally grateful to all for this immense love. #Jawan," he added.
Apart from SRK, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, 'Jawan' also stars Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Deepika Padukone.
'Jawan' will also be releasing in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Apart from 'Jawan', SRK will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' this year. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu.
