Shah Rukh Khan is known as the 'King of Romance' and rightly so. He has starred in several memorable love stories such as 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Veer Zaara', and 'Chalte Chalte', among others. But it is fair to say that nothing can replace 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' in Shah Rukh Khan's filmography. The Hindi movie, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepak Tijori, Naseeruddin Shah, and Suchitra Krishnamurthy, was released on this day, 30 years ago. So many years have passed, but the movie has aged so well, and it still makes you smile, laugh, cry, and then smile again.

'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' gives the perfect message that no matter how bleak your present is, in the end, a new day will bring new opportunities. SRK, who has played a charming lover in most of his movies, played a normal guy in this movie, and in the end, he did not even get the girl. That perhaps, is the charm of the film.

Since the movie is celebrating the 30th year of its release, we are here with some trivia for you. Did you know how much SRK was paid for doing 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa'?

Shah Rukh Khan was paid Rs 25,000 for doing 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa'. Out of which, he was given Rs 5,000 as a signing amount.

“I used to mainly talk to Gauri, I don’t think I spoke much to Shah Rukh. I always say this that I think jab Shah Rukh Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa kar rahe the, woh mujhe nahi dekh rahe the woh Gauri ko dekh rahe the," said Suchitra.

Speaking of 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa', the film was directed by Kundan Shah while it was produced by Vikram Mehrotra.

The movie also managed to win two awards at the 39th Filmfare Awards -- Best Film (Critics) and Best Actor (Critics).

Years after the release, Shah Rukh Khan bought the rights to the film, under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
