Did you know that Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' was shot at the Pataudi Palace?

The world cannot stop talking about 'Animal' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri. The new Hindi film is getting a lot of flak for its objectionable portrayal of toxic masculinity and violent behaviour, however, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer continues to make loads of money at the box office.

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the character of a rich man's bratty and violent son. However, did you know that the palatial home that Ranbir Kapoor's character and his family live at is actually the famous Pataudi Palace near Delhi.

During the film's shoot last year, a crew member had also tagged Pataudi Palace as the shoot location in their Instagram Stories. Now, the pics and videos are going viral on social media.

For the unversed, the Pataudi Palace is currently owned by Saif Ali Khan, who is married to Ranbir's cousin Kareena Kapoor.

The Palace belonged to Saif Ali Khan's father, late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan before him. However, after a hotel company took over the property, Saif decided to buy it back with his own money.

The Pataudi Palace was constructed by Saif's grandfather, the Nawab of Pataudi, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi. Currently, Saif's mother, actor Sharmila Tagore lives there.

For the unversed, the estate is also known as Ibrahim Kothi and it is situated in the town of Pataudi in Haryana’s Gurgaon district.

Speaking of 'Animal', the movie has gone past the Rs 400 crore mark in India, and it needs to be seen whether the film breaks the record of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.

‘Animal’ is now the third consecutive success for Sandeep Reddy Vanga as he had earlier delivered blockbusters in the form of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and its Hindi remake ‘Kabir Singh’.

This box office performance of ‘Animal’ is huge considering it is an ‘A’ (adults only) film and has a runtime of more than three hours. ‘Animal’ also clashed with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ at the box office. Both the new Hindi movies released in cinemas on December 1.
