Did you know that Shriya Reddy, who plays the character of Radha Rama Mannar in 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire', is the daughter of an Indian cricketer.
Actress Shriya Reddy is getting a lot of love and affection for her role in 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire', directed by Prashanth Neel, which also stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan. Her character of Radha Rama Mannar is getting a lot of appreciation for how she manages to hold her own in a film that is dominated by a sea of testosterone. For the unversed, Shriya Reddy plays the scheming Radha Rama Mannar, daughter of Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu), who temporarily even rules Khansaar.
However, did you know that Shriya Reddy is the daughter of an Indian cricketer? Yes, you read that right!
Shriya Reddy is the daughter of former India cricketer, Bharath Reddy.
For the unversed, Bharath Reddy is a former Indian wicketkeeper, who played four Tests and five ODIs for India.
He also played 95 first-class games, and 18 List-A matches.
Coming back to Shriya Reddy, in an interview with Hindustan Times, she said that she had not expected this much love to come her way for her role in 'Salaar'.
"He (Prashanth Neel) promised me my role would stand out and he’s a man of his word. There were a lot of phone calls, meetings, look tests…By the end of it all we knew what Radha Rama Mannar was all about,” she said.
"Prashanth knew what kind of colour palette she needed to carry and the jewellery she would wear from the get-go. Costume designer Poornima Ramaswamy did a fabulous job. Prints, stripes, anything complicated that took away focus from her personality were avoided," she added.
