Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is currently winning a lot of praise for his recently-released film 'Chandu Champion'. The Kabir Khan directorial is being hailed as Kartik Aaryan's "best film". The new Hindi movie is also minting money at a steady pace at the box office, and it looks like, the actor has a winner on his hands. But did you know that Aaryan is not the real surname of Kartik? Yes, you read that right. Kartik's real surname is Tiwari, and he changed his onscreen name in the initial years of his career.
In one of his earlier films, Kartik was even credited as Kartik Tiwari.
Talking about the same on the Kapil Sharma Show, Kartik had said, "Kartik Aaryan sounded better than Kartik Tiwari. Actually Aaryan was always my middle name. It is not something that happened suddenly. Before the release of my first film, I had asked the team to credit me as Kartik Aaryan but they missed out on doing so."
For the unversed, Kartik changed his name during the release of his third film titled 'Kanchi' (2014) directed by Subhash Ghai.
Kartik Aaryan first gained limelight through 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama', and his monologue in the film went viral instantly.
It was through 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' that Kartik Aaryan first achieved a blockbuster film, and since then, the actor has not looked back. In 2022, Kartik delivered another blockbuster in the form of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'.
On the work front, after Chandu Champion, Kartik Aaryan will be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled next.
Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in an untitled project, backed by Karan Johar. The movie was announced last year on Kartik Aaryan’s birthday.
He is also expected to star alongside Triptii Dimri in an untitled romantic film, set to be directed by Anurag Basu.
