Shah Rukh Khan has earned a spot on New York Times’ Most Stylish People of 2025 list.

Shah Rukh Khan isn’t just the undisputed ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ – he’s a global icon whose brilliance extends far beyond cinema. Known for his magnetic screen presence, razor-sharp wit, and unmatched charm, SRK has consistently exuded timeless elegance both on and off the red carpet. From impeccably tailored tuxedos to effortlessly cool airport looks, his fashion choices mirror the sophistication and charisma that define his persona. And now, the world has taken notice once again – SRK has earned a coveted spot on The New York Times’ list of The Most Stylish People of 2025.

The NYT annual roundup, which honours 33 people, characters, and even objects that have shaped the fashion landscape of the year, celebrated diversity, boldness, and sheer originality. This year's list spans the spectrum – from feathered overcoats and flared jeans to glowing lingerie and leather thigh-highs. But it was Shah Rukh Khan’s red carpet debut at the Met Gala that truly captured global attention.

Described as one of the world’s most famous actors, SRK was acknowledged for bringing the Met Gala “into his orbit” with his first-ever appearance at the star-studded fashion event. While the publication didn’t detail his outfit, fans will remember his black-and-gold Indo-Western ensemble that blended Indian regal elements with contemporary couture – striking the perfect balance between heritage and high fashion.

The actor turned up at the Met Gala in a custom Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation. It featured a black floor-length elongated coat in Tasmanian superfine wool with monogrammed, Japanese horn buttons. The coat came hand canvassed, single breasted with a peak collar and wide lapels. Paired with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. A pleated satin kamarbandh rounded off his look.

He also wore a custom stack, including a prominent ‘K’ pendant (symbolizing 'King Khan'). A major highlight of his look was The Bengal Tiger Head Cane crafted in 18k gold with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut and brilliant cut diamonds.

In the NY Times’ list, SRK joined a wildly eclectic group of names that included stars like Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Timothée Chalamet, ASAP Rocky, Coco Gauff, and Blackpink’s Lisa – each recognised for redefining what style means in their own space.

For SRK fans, this recognition is yet another reminder that their favourite star continues to rule – whether it’s box office charts or global fashion lists. With six months still left in 2025, Shah Rukh’s style story for the year may have just begun.

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK is currently filming ‘King’, a much-awaited action drama in which he stars alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan.

Initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the project is now being helmed by Siddharth Anand. The film’s reported ensemble cast includes names like Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma.

Just recently, Shah Rukh also made headlines for his brief cameo in Ed Sheeran’s new music video ‘Sapphire’, further fuelling fan excitement about his evolving appearances and projects.
