Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to one year of domestic violence counselling after being convicted of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. As per Variety, the actor now must complete a 52-week, in-person domestic violence programming in Los Angeles. As per Variety, in future, there will be opportunities for these sessions to be partly virtual. The actor must also continue the mental health therapy he has been enrolled in and provide updates on his progress.

As per Variety, the judge has also placed a permanent order of protection against any contact between Jabbari and Majors. If there are any violations or criminal activity, then it could result in the actor facing jail time.

For the unversed, the sentence was delivered on Monday by Judge Michael Gaffey in a lower Manhattan courtroom. The verdict comes almost four months after Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault against Jabbari.

After a two-week trial, Jonathan Majors was set to be sentenced in January this year, but it was delayed to April due to now-dismissed motions filed by his legal team.

On Monday, Jonathan Majors arrived in court with his current girlfriend, actress Meagan Good. He was also seen shaking hands and hugging his family and supporters on the side of the courtroom.

Jabbari then entered the room, and she delivered a victim impact statement, saying that Majors "is not sorry and has not accepted responsibility” for the assault."

“He will do this again. He will hurt another woman. This is a man who believes he’s above the law,” Jabbari said. “I had a career and life and body, all of which he’s damaged," she added.

For the unversed, Jonathan Majors was arrested in March 2023 after he assaulted Jabbari in the backseat of a private vehicle. Majors denied assaulting Jabbari.

However, he was found guilty for the same, and after the verdict, he was fired from Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which he played the villain Kang the Conqueror.
