Rihanna is possibly one of the biggest singers in the world, and the pop sensation enjoys a massive fan following all over the world, and hence it is no surprise that the Ambanis have asked her to come to India and perform at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. For the unversed, the three-day pre-wedding festivities will be beginning on Friday evening with an event titled 'An Evening In Everland'. Now, you must be wondering how much the 'Rude Boy' and 'Love The Way You Lie' is charging for performing at the event. As per a report in India Today, Rihanna's fees is somewhere between USD 8-9 million, which equates to Rs 66 to 74 crore.
As per several reports, Rihanna will be performing a medley of her songs and also solo hits like 'Diamonds'. The same India Today report states that most of the cost of her gig went into "transporting her stage equipment, outfit changes for her and the background singers."
Rihanna had arrived in Gujarat's Jamnagar on February 29 along with her troupe. She was seen making her way out of the airport, and it was then that she was papped by the paparazzi.
For the unversed, Rihanna's last public performance was at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, which drew close to more than 120 million views.
Rihanna is not the first international musician to perform at an Ambani wedding. Earlier, Beyonce had performed at the sangeet ceremony of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal. At that time, it was rumoured that she was paid close to USD 4 million (Rs 33 crore).
Apart from Rihanna, Diljit Dosanjh is also expected to perform for the guests at the grand event.
Celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, and Janhvi Kapoor, among others have already arrived at Jamnagar for possibly the biggest wedding of the year.
