Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding: When a fan asked Rihanna if she was travelling with a folding house, she came up with a brutal response.
Pop sensation Rihanna has finally arrived in India for her performance in Jamnagar at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Before the arrival of the 'Diamonds' singer, her luggage caught the attention of the internet as it looked like the singer was travelling with an insane amount of cartons. In the latest entertainment news, a netizen even joked that the singer was travelling with a "folding house." Rihanna has now taken to the comments section, saying she is indeed travelling with her own stage.
“What did she bring with her? A folding house," a fan commented on the video of Rihanna's luggage.
To this, Rihanna replied, "The stage couldn’t fit in my carryon.”
For the unversed, Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar with her husband A$AP Rocky.
A few videos on Rihanna's fan page suggest that the singer was rehearsing for her upcoming performance at the pre-wedding festivities on Thursday night.
It is rumoured that Rihanna will be performing on Friday for the three-day wedding festivities.
As per a report in India Today, Rihanna's fees for the function is somewhere between USD 8-9 million, which equates to Rs 66 to 74 crore.
The same India Today report states that most of the cost of her gig went into "transporting her stage equipment, outfit changes for her and the background singers."
Rihanna has never had a concert in India. This will be her first performance in India.
Earlier, the Ambanis had hosted Beyonce, Coldplay and Chainsmokers for the pre-wedding festivities of son Akash and daughter Isha.
The Jamnagar festivities will be attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and many other Bollywood celebrities.
After the three-day extravaganza, the wedding will be taking place in Mumbai in July.
