BAFTAs 2024: Deepika Padukone turned heads in a shimmery saree as she stepped on stage to present an award.
Deepika Padukone, who shared screen with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor in Siddharth Anand’s 2024 directorial venture ‘Fighter’, recently attended the 77th BAFTA Film Awards. Apart from attending, the 'Pathaan' actress also presented an award for the Best Film Not In The English Language category. The award was bagged by director-screenwriter Jonathan Glazer for his film ‘The Zone of Interest’. The other nominees in the category included ‘20 Days in Mariupol’, ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, ‘Past Lives’ and ‘Society of the Snow’.
As soon as Deepika Padukone stepped on stage to present the award, a huge applause from the audience was heard.
“The incredible stories nominated in this category depict real and imagined worlds that stay with us long after the credits roll,” said Deepika Padukone.

For BAFTAs 2024, Deepika Padukone was seen dressed in a golden and silver-hued shimmery saree with sequin work all over it.
The actress paired the outfit with a matching blouse with strappy sleeves and a backless design. Deepika Padukone also opted for statement earrings to elevate her saree look.

She tied her dark tresses in a messy hair bun. For her makeup, she went with feathered brows, mascara on the lashes, subtle smoky eye shadow, kohl-lined eyes, mauve lip shade, blushed cheekbones, and beaming highlighter.
Deepika Padukone, who can be currently seen in ‘Fighter’, can look forward to another big year at the box office with the highly anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ gearing up for a May 2024 release. The sci-fi flick will see her starring alongside Prabhas for the first time. The upcoming film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
Deepika Padukone will also star in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh.
Coming back to BAFTAs 2024, 'Oppenheimer' won awards left, right and centre. Director Christopher Nolan and lead star Cillian Murphy also won in their respective categories. Emma Stone-starrer 'Poor Things' also had a good run, and the movie ended up winning in five categories.
During the ceremony, former England football star David Beckham handed out the golden mask for outstanding British debut, while Dua Lipa presented the award for outstanding British film.
