Cricketer Shubman Gill Lends His Voice For 'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' Hindi Dubbed Movie

'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' is one of the most awaited Hollywood films of 2023, and it looks like, the makers are well aware of how big of a market India is for superhero movies. To further enhance their chances of getting a bumper box office opening, the makers have decided to rope in India’s rising cricket star, Shubman Gill, to lend his voice for the Hindi and Punjabi versions. Pavitr Prabhakar is the character name chosen for India's version of Spider-Man and cricketer Shubman Gill has lent his voice for the character in both the Hindi and Punjabi versions.

With this, Shubman Gill has now become the first sports personality to lend his voice for "one of the biggest Hollywood franchises."

'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' will be releasing in India in as many as 10 languages.

The movie would be releasing in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and Gujarati.

'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' is slated to release in India on June 2. 

Talking about Shubman Gill, the cricketer is currently a part of Gujarat Titans squad for the ongoing IPL 2023.

The right-handed batter had played an unbeaten knock of 94 runs off just 51 balls on Sunday to help his side post 227/2 against Lucknow Super Giants.

In the end, Gujarat Titans ended up defeating LSG by 56 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans are currently at the top of IPL 2023 standings with 16 points from 11 games.
