Critics Choice Awards 2024: As expected, it was 'Oppenheimer' that dominated the awards ceremony.
Just like the Golden Globes 2024, it was Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' that dominated the recently-held Critics Choice Awards. The Cillian Murphy-starrer took home eight trophies including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor. Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' also ended up winning six awards, including Best Comedy and Best Song (I'm Just Ken). However, Cillian Murphy was unable to win the Best Actor award, as he lost out to Paul Giamatti for 'The Holdovers'.
In the television category, 'Succession', 'The Bear' and 'Beef' won in multiple categories.
'The Bear and Beef' took home four awards while 'Succession' won in three categories. For the unversed, Chelsea Handler hosted the Critics Choice Awards 2024.
