Deepika Padukone Becomes First Indian Actress To Receive Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Deepika Padukone has been announced as one of the honourees in the Motion Pictures category for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026.
Indian actress Deepika Padukone continues to soar to new heights. The ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ star is now set to receive her very own star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming the first Indian actress to achieve this honour. Deepika Padukone is among 35 global personalities selected for the Class of 2026, making her mark in the Motion Pictures category. With this milestone, she is all set to add yet another feather to her cap, cementing her place as a true global icon.
Deepika Padukone has been named as one of the honourees for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 in the Motion Pictures category. The list was revealed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Deepika is in the list, which also has Demi Moore, Rachel McAdams, Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Molly Ringwald, Rami Malek, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Stanley Tucci.
Fellow Walk of Famers Eugenio Derbez and Richard Blade announced the list on Wednesday. The inductees were announced across five categories: motion pictures, television, live theatre and live performance, recording and sports entertainment.
Others who made the class of 2026 include Noah Wyle; former NBA star turned sports analyst Shaquille O’Neal; and Good Morning America co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, who will have a double ceremony. Italian special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi and director Tony Scott will be posthumously honoured.
For the unversed, Deepika Padukone had made her Hollywood debut with 2017 film ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’, alongside Vin Diesel.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had welcomed their first child, a daughter on September 8, 2024. The couple named their daughter – Dua Padukone Singh.
“Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude,” the couple wrote on Instagram.
Deepika Padukone was last seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', which also starred Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Up next, Deepika Padukone will reportedly have a cameo appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love And War’. The upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. Reportedly, she also has a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’.
Deepika was recently also announced as the female lead for Atlee's next film tentatively titled 'AA22xA6'. The film will also star Allu Arjun.
