Golden Globes 2024 was dominated by Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' and HBO show 'Succession'.

The day is finally here! Golden Globes 2024 were held at The Beverly Hills in California on Monday. The award ceremony was dominated by Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' and HBO show 'Succession'. In the comedy category for TV, 'The Bear' swept all the major categories. 'Oppenheimer' won the major accolades in the motion picture drama category while 'Succession' dominated the TV drama category.

Christopher Nolan picked up the Best Director, Drama award for 'Oppenheimer'. Cillian Murphy won the Best Actor accolade while Lily Gladstone won Best Actress for her performance in Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon'. 

For the unversed, 'Oppenheimer' had received eight nods at this year's Golden Globes while Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' had received 10 nominations, however, the latter was not able to pick up wins in many categories.

In the motion picture comedy or musical category, Emma Stone's 'Poor Things' defeated 'Barbie'. However, Margot Robbie-starrer 'Barbie' picked up the win in Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
