'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Episode 3 recap: Here's what all happened this week.

Mondays are once again a reason to be happy and excited! 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Episode 3 is now available on JioCinema, and the latest episode is 64 minutes long. As we have watched the latest offering of 'House of the Dragon', we are back to give you a lowdown on what all transpired in the show this week. Before getting right to business, we should warn you that this will be a spoiler-filled article, and if you are yet to watch the episode, then refrain from reading further. Now that we are done with the statutory warning, let's dive right into it.

Season 2 Episode 3 begins with the funeral for the Cargyll twins, who lost their lives during the brother versus brother duel last week. We are happy to report that for the first time this season, there was no death of a major character in the episode, except for some soldiers from House Blackwood and House Bracken in the Battle of the Burning Mill.

A few moments later, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) arrives at the ancient and leaking castle of Harrenhal. He then manages to claim the castle without shedding any blood. Ser Simon Strong (Simon Russell Beale), immediately bents the knee to Daemon and offers him a supper in return.

During his stay at the castle, Daemon Targaryen starts having disturbing visions, including one of young Rhaenyra Targaryen sewing Jaehaerys’ head back on. For the unversed, this scene marked Milly Alcock's return to the series after playing Rhaenyra for the first half of Season 1.

In the episode, Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) also sets out for war with Gwayne Hightower (Freddie Fox), the brother of Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), and their troops. The army then narrowly survives a run-in with Daemon’s daughter Baela Targaryen (Bethany Antonia), who was scouting on her dragon.

Back to Dragonstone, the black council advises Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) to create an army and fearing for everyone's lives, she sends her youngest children, Joffrey, Viserys II, and Aegon III, across the sea with Rhaena Targaryen (Phoebe Campbell) for safety.

At King's Landing, Aegon goes out for a drunken night with his Kingsguard buddies and it is then that he runs into his brother Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell), cuddling naked with a prostitute.

In the end, the episode concludes with a showdown of words as Rhaenyra manages to sneak into King’s Landing to talk to Alicent and try to avert the war.

Disguised as septa, Rhaenyra manages to ambush Alicent as the latter is praying at church. The two then argue about the rightful heir to King Viserys and his misinterpreted prophecy of the “prince that was promised” in the Song of Ice and Fire.

We will be back next week to give you a recap of what all happens in the fourth episode, titled 'Dance of the Dragons'.
