'Jason Bourne' star Matt Damon is reportedly in talks to star in Christopher Nolan's next film.

Christopher Nolan is one of the most followed directors around the world. The 'Interstellar' filmmaker delivered a box office juggernaut in the form of 'Oppenheimer' last year, and in the latest entertainment news, he is now setting up his next feature project. As per The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Nolan's latest project will be released in US cinemas on July 17, 2026. The report in Hollywood Reporter states that Christopher Nolan is teaming up with Hollywood studio Universal. Matt Damon is also in talks to star in the movie.

For the unversed, Matt Damon had earlier featured in Nolan's 2014 film 'Interstellar' and the 2023 movie 'Oppenheimer'.

For the unversed, 'Oppenheimer' provided a gripping portrayal of J Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.

The film emerged as a major contender at Oscars 2024, securing several nominations. 'Oppenheimer' also took home eight awards.

Cillian Murphy's portrayal of Oppenheimer earned him the Best Actor award, while Christopher Nolan took home the Best Director award. 

'Oppenheimer' also marked Nolan's first film outside Warner Bros in nearly 20 years.

For Warner Bros, Christopher Nolan helmed projects like 'Dark Knight' trilogy, 'Dunkirk', and 'Inception'. 

'Oppenheimer' was released in cinemas on July 21, 2023, alongside Greta Gerwig's adaptation of 'Barbie', starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Simu Liu. 

Coming back to 'Oppenheimer', the film is set during World War II and it follows physicist J Robert Oppenheimer. 

For the unversed, physicist J Robert Oppenheimer helped invent nuclear weapons during World War II. Matt Damon played the character of General Leslie Groves, the head of the Manhattan Project.

Emily Blunt played the role of Oppenheimer's wife, Katherine Oppenheimer.
