Actor Ke Huy Quan has won the Golden Globe for the best supporting actor in a motion picture for his exceptional performance in 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'. The actor took home the award for his portrayal of doting husband and laundromat owner Waymond Wang in the movie. Ke Huy Quan is the first actor of Asian descent in nearly 40 years to win in his category, with the last being Haing S. Ngor for his role in 'The Killing Fields' in 1985.

Ke Huy Quan was competing against Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan, who were nominated separately for their roles in 'The Banshees of Inisherin', Brad Pitt for 'Babylon', and Eddie Redmayne for 'The Good Nurse'.

Quan’s role in 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' marked his return to acting after more than two decades working behind the camera.

Another award that was announced after Ke Huy Quan's win was for the category 'Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture'.

Angela Bassett won the Golden Globe for her performance as Queen Ramonda in 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', making the 64-year-old the first actress ever to win a major individual acting award for a movie based on Marvel Comics.

The evening marked Angela Bassett’s second win at the Globes. She took home the trophy for best actress in a musical or comedy for 1993’s Tina Turner biopic 'What’s Love Got to Do With It'.

Angela Bassett won the Globe over fellow nominees Kerry Condon (The Banshees Inisherin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness) and Carey Mulligan (She Said).
